This corporation shall be known as the “Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry” and when the French language is used, it shall be known as “Académie Canadienne de Gérontopsychiatrie."
English and French are used in the conduct of the business of the Academy.
There shall be the following classes of membership in the Academy: full member, affiliate member, member-in-training, affiliate-in-training, and full member retirees.
The Board of Directors shall be responsible for the governance of the affairs of the Academy and its assets and funds. The Board may take or cause to be made for the Academy, in its name, any kind of contract which the Academy may lawfully enter into, and generally may exercise all such other powers and do all such acts and things as the Academy, by its charter and otherwise, is authorized to do. The Board may delegate such of its duties and responsibilities as it may deem expedient to the Chair of the Board and/or to the Executive Committee. The Board shall report to the members at their annual general meeting
