The CAGP News Bulletin is the monthly newsletter for the Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry. Sent via email to all CAGP members, each issue contains updates and information on the Academy's activities and programs including the annual awards, annual scientific meeting, governance, partnerships, achievements and other initiatives undertaken by the academy. Academy members are passionate about their work and are actively involved in many areas including clinical care, research, education, mentoring, community outreach, consulting, advocacy, innovations in heath care services and models of delivery, plus much more. Each quarter the news bulletin provides a regional update featuring their work and acheivements in Canada and beyond.
It also provides a forum to publish EMB reviews, as well as interesting academic commentaries and insights. Updates and information, of interest to CAGP members, also from like-minded organizations and partners of the academy will appear in the news bulletin as well.
History: The monthly news bulletin was previously a publication known as the e-Newsletter. In 2019, the Board of Directors recommended that the e-Newsletter continue as an information source and venue but is published once a month instead of quarterly.
CAGP members are involved in producing high-quality publications which appear in peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and abstract/poster presentations published each year. The Member Publications section is a bibliography of the most recent materials released by members. If you are a member and wish to submit a publication for addition please send your request to cagp@secretariatcentral.com.
