MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

Full Member:

• Physicians who have received certification of fellowship in psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or by a provincial college in the province in which they practice, or hold such other specialist qualifications in psychiatry as shall be acceptable to the Board.
  

• Have satisfactorily completed two years of training in geriatric psychiatry or have primarily practiced geriatric psychiatry for a minimum of 3 years or have had at least one year of training in an approved program and have primarily practiced geriatric psychiatry for a minimum of one year or have satisfactorily completed one year of training in geriatric psychiatry and have primarily practice geriatric psychiatry for less than one year.
  

Full Member retiree:

• Those who meet the "Full Member" criteria (listed above), but are withdrawn from the practice entirely, with no source of professional income.
  
• Those eligible for this category pay 25% of the regular Full Member fee.

MEDICAL STUDENTS, RESIDENTS,
OR FELLOWS 

Member-in-Training (MIT):

• Sub-specialty resident in geriatric psychiatry currently enrolled in a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada accredited training program in geriatric psychiatry.

 ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS AND STUDENTS

Affiliate - Allied Health:

Affiliate - Allied Health Student:

• Students in an aging or mental health-related professional program (e.g. nursing, gerontology, social work, OT, etc.).
