ABOUT: CAGP GERIATRIC PSYCHIATRY ONLINE COURSE
The Geriatric Psychiatry Online Course (GPOC) will help you update and consolidate your knowledge of a broad array of geriatric psychiatry topics in an innovative, interactive and fun manner. Our program is an interactive asynchronous online learning opportunity (sign on at your convenience) and is geared toward psychiatrists, physicians and other health professionals who are interested in receiving up-to-date information about the psychiatric care of older adults, and in interacting with colleagues about the complex issues which arise. GPOC is comprised of 15 one-week modules and is led by expert internationally-recognized faculty and covers a wide array of topics in geriatric psychiatry at an advanced level.
The course is set up as self-learning modules. Participants are able to complete each module on their own time. We recommend dedicating approximately 2-3 hours of your time per module. There are NO grades provided for this course. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.
We have expanded our GPOC Committee to ensure that the content and delivery are relevant to physicians and other health care providers beyond geriatric psychiatrists.
The Geriatric Psychiatry Online Course is entirely funded by registration fees and support of the CAGP. We do not seek industry support.
